Kinase activity studies using PamStation
PamStation: Processing functional kinase assaysThe PamStation is an automated microarray system for processing and read-out of peptide microarrays. The functional kinase assay is activity-based and detects protein kinase activity directly in cellular and tissue lysates, through measuring peptide phosphorylation by protein kinases. The chips contain 4 arrays of 144 and 192 peptide targets for tyrosine (PTK) and serine-threonine (STK) kinases, resp. Peptide phosphorylation is detected by binding of fluorescence labeled anti-phospho antibodies. There is a wide range of rapid and non-invasive applications including diagnostics, biomarker discovery, kinase inhibitor discovery and optimization, target discovery and optimization, and pathway elucidation.
